AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution amending a certain address for Lot
14 of Windsor West within the City of Waukee
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The property owner of 1073 3rd Street is currently in the
process of constructing a new house. It appears that the address for the lot
was supposed to be 1075 3rd Street which fits the sequence for the rest of the
street, however, for some reason, Dallas County has the address for this
property as 1073 3rd Street. The owner is requesting the address be changed to
1075 3rd Street to be consistent with the rest of the neighborhood.

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend approval of the resolution
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 2020-
APPROVAL OF AMENDING A CERTAIN ADDRESS FOR LOT 14 OF
WINDSOR WEST
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee approved the final plat for Windsor West which is
recorded in Book 778 at Page 629-650, Dallas County, Iowa; AND,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that there was a scriveners error related to Lots 14 of
Windsor West; AND,
WHEREAS, staff recommends changing the following address for Lot 14 of Windsor
West as follows:
Parcel No. Lot No. Current Address Proposed Address
1233453019 19 1073 3rd Street 1075 3rd Street
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa in session this 15th day of June 2020, that the local address as referenced above is
amended. A copy of this resolution shall be filed of record with the Recorders Office of
Dallas County, Iowa.
