MEETING DATE: June 15, 2020
AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a Motion to set a Public Hearing Date of
July 20, 2020, as the date of public hearing on an ordinance to amend
Chapter 169, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by rezoning
certain property from A-1 Agricultural District to R-2 One & Two
Family Residential District and R-4 Row Dwelling & Townhome
District (Autumn Valley)
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a request for rezoning of
approximately 42.7 acres of property from A-1 to R-2 and R-4. The
property is located north of University Avenue and west of the Clayton
Estates neighborhood. The applicant has provided the necessary consents
from the adjoining property owners in order to begin the rezoning
process.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend a public hearing date be set for
July 20, 2020, to further discuss the proposed changes.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
