SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The 2020 Gas Transmission Modifications is generally
located approximately 800 feet south of the intersection of NE Alice’s Road and Meredith Drive
on the east side of NE Alice’s Road.
The project includes the construction of a natural gas pipeline that includes all labor, non-owner
supplied materials and equipment necessary for a new 8-inch valve, regulator station, tie-ins,
locations stations, valves, surface restoration and miscellaneous associated work, including
cleanup.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, PROPOSED FORM OF
CONTRACT AND ESTIMATE OF COST FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE 2020 GAS
TRANSMISSION MODIFICATIONS FOR THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA.
At 5:30 P.M. on the 6th day of July, 2020, the City Council of Waukee will, in the Council
Chambers at the City Hall, 230 W. Hickman Road, Waukee, Iowa, hold a hearing and said
Council proposes to adopt plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost and, at
the time, date and place specified above, or at such time, date and place as then may be fixed,
to act upon proposals and enter into a contract for the construction of the improvements. During
said hearing, any interested person may participate and/or file objections thereto or to the cost
of the improvements.
All persons wishing to observe or participate in the meeting and/or public hearing may do so by
accessing the meeting as directed above, and may also submit comments to the City prior to
the meeting. Please contact the City Clerk’s office at 978-7904 or bschuett@waukee.org if you

This project includes the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and non-owner supplied materials for
the construction of the 2020 Gas Transmission Modifications project, generally described as
follows:
Natural gas pipeline construction, including all labor, non-owner supplied materials and
equipment necessary for a new 8-inch sectionalizing valve, 4-inch regulator station, approx.
31 linear feet of 10-inch HDPE, tie-ins, locations stations, valves, surface restoration and
miscellaneous associated work, including cleanup.
The 2020 Gas Transmission Modifications is generally located approximately 800 feet south of
the intersection of NE Alice’s Road and Meredith Drive on the east side of NE Alice’s Road.
At said hearing, the City Council will consider the plans, specifications, proposed form of
contract, and estimated total cost for the project, the same now being on file in the office of the
City Clerk, reference to which is made for a more detailed and complete description of the
proposed improvements, and at said time and place the said Council will also receive and
consider any objections to said plans, specifications, estimate of cost and form of contract made
by any interested party.
This notice is given by order of the Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa.
