AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution amending a certain address along S
Warrior Lane
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The City purchased the property located at 1230 S Warrior
Lane in July 2020. Staff has discovered that the address for the property is out
of sequence from neighboring properties and is recommending the address be
changed from 1230 S Warrior Lane to 1130 S Warrior Lane.

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend approval of the resolution
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 2020-
APPROVAL OF AMENDING A CERTAIN ADDRESS ALONG S WARRIOR
LANE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee recently purchased the property that has a current
address of 1230 S Warrior Lane; AND,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the address of 1230 S Warrior Lane is not in
line with adjoining properties located to the north and south of the property; AND,
WHEREAS, staff recommends changing the following address as follows:

1233479001 1230 S Warrior Lane 1130 S Warrior Lane
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa in session this 5th day of October 2020, that the local address as referenced above is
amended. A copy of this resolution shall be filed of record with the Recorders Office of
Dallas County, Iowa.
