AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving Dwelling Unit
Rental Agreement [1130 S Warrior Lane]
FORMAT: Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The City of Waukee owns the property located at
1130 S Warrior Lane. Staff has advertised the house on the property for
lease and is recommending a 12 month lease be approved with Richard
Scott and Michelle Walters. The lease pertains to the house on the
property only and does not include the outbuilding or vineyard.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: Rent of
$2,800.00/month ($33,600/year)
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: City staff recommends approval of the rental
agreement.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 2020-
APPROVING DWELLING UNIT RENTAL AGREEMENT [1130 S WARRIOR LANE]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee owns a dwelling unit and property addressed as 1130 S
Warrior Lane, Waukee, IA; AND,
WHEREAS, the City proposes to enter into a Dwelling Unit Rental Agreement with Richard
Scott and Michelle Walters for 1130 S Warrior Lane, beginning September 26, 2020.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
5th day of October 2020, that it hereby approves the Dwelling Unit Rental Agreement [1130 S
Warrior Lane].
