MidAmerican will install street lights in these areas which will be final graded and ready for street lights to be installed. A second phase will be approved at a later date to install the remaining street lights along NW 10th St and NW Sunrise Dr once the final grading is completed. HICKMAN ROAD TO NW DOUGLAS PARKWAY – PHASE 1, WMIS #2804763] IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA WHEREAS, the City of Waukee is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County; AND, WHEREAS, the City of Waukee requested a proposal from MidAmerican Energy Company to install streetlights along NW 10th Street from W. Hickman Road to NW Douglas Parkway; AND, WHEREAS, the City Attorney has reviewed the Streetlight Installation Agreement provided by MidAmerican Energy Company and finds the agreement satisfactory. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council that the City of Waukee hereby approves the Streetlight Proposal from MidAmerican Energy Company [NW 10th Street from W. Hickman Road to NW Douglas Parkway – Phase 1, WMIS #2804763]. WMIS: 2804763 This proposal includes the installation of streetlights on: 10th Street, Stratford Drive, NW Sunrise Drive in Waukee, IA We propose to install: The lights installed on steel poles and served by underground conductors will be billed to the city at the wood pole, overhead rate. The estimated cost for this installation is $119,818.07. Since the estimated cost of construction is over $100,000, Applicant is required by tariff to pay actual costs upon completion of the work, which could result in an additional charge or a refund to the Applicant. If MidAmerican Energy is required to start construction of underground electric facilities during the winter season, the work will be subject to an additional adverse construction charges. MidAmerican Energy Company’s street light proposal is based on the approved street light analysis provided by the city. MidAmerican Energy Company will install the lights based on the staked locations provided in the field by the customer.
