STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Veenstra & Kimm, Inc. has reviewed the public
improvements for the 2020 University Avenue Pavement Patching Project and find it in general
conformance with the standard specification for the City of Waukee.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 2020-
ACCEPTING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
[2020 UNIVERSITY AVENUE PAVEMENT PATCHING PROJECT]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County; AND,
WHEREAS, Jasper Construction Services, Inc. of Newton, IA, has completed the public
improvements associated with 2020 University Avenue Pavement Patching Project;
AND,
WHEREAS, City Engineers have reviewed the improvements constructed as part of
2020 University Avenue Pavement Patching Project and confirm that said improvements
constructed as a part of this project are in general conformance with the Standard
Specifications of the City of Waukee.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 2nd day of November, 2020, that it hereby accepts the public improvements
associated with 2020 University Avenue Pavement Patching Project.

2020 UNIVERSITY AVENUE PAVEMENT PATCHING PROJECT
WAUKEE, IOWA
We hereby certify that we have made an on-site review of the completed
construction of the 2020 University Avenue Pavement Patching Project as
performed by Jasper Construction Services, Inc.
As Engineers for the project, it is our opinion the work performed is in
substantial accordance with the plans and specifications, and that the final
amount of the Contract is One Hundred Thirty-eight Thousand Seven Hundred Two
and 28/100 Dollars ($138,702.28).
