AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of receipt and file of the purchase of a 2020 John Deere
310SL in the amount of $48,450.00 from Murphy Tractor and Equipment
Company.

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: This purchase is for a scheduled replacement
of a 2015 John Deere 310 SL. This unit is used to remove concrete and excavate water
mains, sanitary sewers, and storm sewers for repairs year round. In winter months, it is
also used to move snow and load dump trucks. This new machine will come with forks to
load gas pipe, water main pipe and other large, heavy materials delivered to Waukee Public
Works. In addition, a grapple bucket will also come with this machine to be used to pick
up tree debris from storm damage or other significant weather events. The price of this
piece of equipment is ensured through the state bid pricing contract.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: $48,450.00
This is a scheduled replacement item.
