AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of 12-month Class E Liquor License with
Class B Wine Permit and Class C Beer Permit privileges for RAYA,
LLC, d/b/a Waukee Liquor & Food Mart [763 SE Alice’s Road]
FORMAT:Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: On 12/20/2021, the City Council approved a 12-
month Class E Liquor License for RAYA, LLC, d/b/a Waukee Liquor &
Food Mart. After approval, the applicant informed City staff that they
had failed to include wine and beer permit privileges with their initial
license application. As a result, the applicant has refiled with the
additional privileges.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Police, Fire and Community Development Departments
have reviewed the application and find no reason to deny the permit at
this time.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the liquor license.
