HomeMy WebLinkAbout2022-01-17-I01H_02 Edencrest at Kettlestone Rezoning_Set PH AGENDA ITEM: CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA CITY COUNCIL MEETING COMMUNICATION MEETING DATE: January 17, 2022 AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a Motion to set a Public Hearing Date of February 22, 2022, as the date of public hearing on an ordinance to amend Chapter 169, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by rezoning certain property from A-1 (Agricultural District) and K-MF Stacked Medium (Kettlestone Multi-Family Stacked Medium District) to K-MF Stacked Medium (Kettlestone Multi-Family Stacked Medium District) / PD-1 (Planned Development Overlay District) [Edencrest at Kettlestone] FORMAT: Motion SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a request for rezoning of approximately 4.90-acres of property from A-1 and K-MF Stacked Medium to K-MF Stacked Medium/PD-1. The property is generally located east of SE Parkview Crossing Drive and north of SE Tallgrass Lane. The applicant has received the necessary consent of property owners within 250-feet. FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT: STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend approval of the City Council setting the public hearing date for February 22 , 2022 to discuss this matter further. Council action to set the public hearing date does not indicate support for the project. Rather, it represents the Council’s willingness to allow the public hearing process to continue.
