AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of Change Order No. 8 to Elder Corporation
for the Waukee Public Library Stormwater Improvements increasing the
contract amount by $10,024.00.
FORMAT:Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Change Order No. 8 is for additional bio-cell mulch.
Additional mulch added to the bio-cells on the property will help to limit
the number of future weeds that will grow and reduce the amount of
maintenance which would otherwise be required.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: The net result of this
Change Order increases the contract price in the amount of $10,024.00.

Please find attached Change Order #8 for the Waukee Public Library Stormwater Improvements. The
change order includes the following items:
• Additional Bio-Cell Mulch
Additional mulch added to the bio-cells on the property will help to limit the number of future weeds that
will grow and reduce the amount of maintenance which would otherwise be required.
We have reviewed the change order items and unit prices, both are line with anticipated amounts. If
City staff concurs with this change, we recommend the City of Waukee approve this change order in the
amount of $10,024 to the construction contract for the Waukee Public Library Stormwater Improvements
with Elder Corporation of Pleasant Hill, IA.
