HomeMy WebLinkAbout2022-02-07-J01F_04 Stratford Crossing Plat 1 Outlot W Rezoning_Set PH AGENDA ITEM: CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA CITY COUNCIL MEETING COMMUNICATION MEETING DATE: February 7, 2022 AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a Motion to set a Public Hearing Date of March 7, 2022, as the date of public hearing on an ordinance to amend Chapter 169, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by rezoning certain property from C-1 (Community & Highway Service Commercial District) to R-3 (Multi-Family Residential District) [Stratford Crossing Plat 1, Outlot W] FORMAT: Motion SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a request for rezoning of approximately 7.5-acres of property from C-1 to R-3. The property is generally located south of NW Sunrise Drive and west of NW 10th Street. The applicant has not received the necessary consent of property owners within 250-feet. The applicant has attempted to contact each surrounding property owner and has either been granted consent, granted non- consent, or not received a response FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT: STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend approval of the City Council setting the public hearing date for March 7, 2022 to discuss this matter further. Council action to set the public hearing date does not indicate support for the project. Rather, it represents the Council’s willingness to allow the public hearing process to continue.
