CITY COUNCIL MEETING COMMUNICATION
MEETING DATE: February 7, 2022
AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a motion setting March 7, 2022 as the date of
public hearing on the annexation of consenting properties by the City of
Waukee, Iowa with consideration of the annexation taking place immediately
thereafter [William Fox Farm Company, Waukee Community School District,
Fox Creek Meadows, LLC, Shoeman Family Trust]
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received petitions for annexation from four
property owners located west of NW 10th Street and north of NW Douglas
Parkway (extended). The annexation would include approximately 230 acres.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend setting a public hearing date for
March 7, 2022 to further discuss the annexation proposal.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
