SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON:This project includes all materials, equipment, for
the construction of Warrior Lane roadway improvements between Park Rd/Ford Ln and Waukee
Middle School north entrance drive. Also included is construction of parking lot improvements at
the west side of Waukee Middle School. The construction consists of approximately 10,100
square yards of PCC pavement, 690 linear feet of water main, 1,660 linear feet of storm sewer,
earthwork, subgrade preparation, manholes, intakes, sidewalk and shared use path paving, surface
restoration, landscape plantings, unit pavers, and other associated work.
This project is included in the draft FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvements Plan with a total project
budget of $3,270,000.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
WARRIOR LANE IMPROVEMENTS - PHASE 2
The City Council of Waukee, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the proposed Plans,
Specifications, Form of Contract, Consideration of Enhancement Payment and Estimate of Costs
for the construction of the above referenced public improvements at 5:30 p.m. on February 22,
2022 at the Council Chamber in City Hall, 230 West Hickman Road, Waukee, Iowa 50263. At
said hearing, any interested person may appear and file objections thereto or to the cost of the
improvements.
This project includes the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of
the WARRIOR LANE IMPROVEMENTS - PHASE 2, generally described as follows:
Construction of Warrior Lane roadway improvements between Park Rd/Ford Ln and
Waukee Middle School north entrance drive. Also included is construction of parking lot
improvements at the west side of Waukee Middle School. The construction consists of
approximately 10,100 square yards of PCC pavement, 690 linear feet of water main, 1,660
linear feet of storm sewer, earthwork, subgrade preparation, manholes, intakes, sidewalk
and shared use path paving, surface restoration, landscape plantings, unit pavers, and
other associated work.
Due to public health concerns and guidance, in accordance with Iowa Code Sections 21.4(1)(b)
and 21.8, this meeting of the Waukee City Council will be conducted with two different options
for public participation: 1) Members of the public wishing to attend in person may do so in the
Council Chambers at Waukee City Hall. 2) Members of the public wishing to participate

In-person meetings are subject to change under certain circumstances, including but not limited
