AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a resolution approving Agreement with Midwest
Inflatables, LLC [4th of July Celebration]
FORMAT:Consent
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The inflatable ride agreement is with Midwest Inflatables.
Midwest Inflatables has provided services to the Parks and Recreation
Department for FamilyFest. The total of $17,800 includes 11 inflatable
activities for kids and adults. It also includes $5,600 in staffing costs. The
inflatables would run from 1-8 p.m. on Monday, July 4th. The City of Waukee
would be responsible for selling all of the wristbands and 100% of the sales
would maintain with the City. Midwest Inflatables would be responsible for
providing all necessary generators to operate the inflatables. Staff has worked
with Midwest Inflatables to pick activities that will be appealing to a wide
range of ages. The Park Board reviewed this agreement and the items selected
at their January Park Board Meeting and recommended approval.

RESOLUTION 2022-
APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH MIDWEST INFLATABLES, LLC
[4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee annually hosts a 4th of July celebration with activities and
amusements for all ages; AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee Park Board wishes to enter into a contract with Midwest
Inflatables, LLC, for inflatable activities for kids and adults as part of the 4th of July
festivities;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council that the
Agreement between the City of Waukee, Iowa, and Midwest Inflatables, LLC is hereby
approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved this the 7th day of
March, 2022.
