AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval to award quote for Ash Tree Removal to
Turnbull Tree Service from Norwalk, Iowa in the amount of $60,375.00.
FORMAT:Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: This project includes the removal of all remaining
dead/dying Ash trees in the public ROWs and includes stump removal, waste material removal,
backfilling and seeding any disturbed areas. The streets included are SE Waco Place, Gray Ave,
Christopher Ave, Corene Ave, 3rd St., 5th St., 7th St., SE Legacy Pointe Blvd and Locust St.
The City sent quotes out to 5 contractors on February 12, 2022 and received pricing from 3
contractors with the other 2 declining to provide quote.
This project is included in the FY23 budget.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: $60,375.00

IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF WAUKEE, IOWA:
That the following quote for a certain described in general as Ash Tree Remvoal and
described in the Request for Quotes that was provided to vendors be and is hereby accepted, the
same being the lowest responsible quote received for such work, as follows:
Contractor: Turnbull Tree Service from Norwalk, IA
Amount of quote: $60,375.00
PASSED AND APPROVED this 7th day of March, 2022.
