SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON:This project includes furnishing of all labor,
equipment, and materials for the construction of improvements for the build-out of a 3,045 SF
open space on the 2nd floor into offices, IT data room expansion, work room and an open office
area. New egress stairs from the existing mezzanine into the engineering bay are also included.
This project is included in the draft FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvements Plan with a total project
budget of $650,000.00.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
WAUKEE PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING 2ND FLOOR EXPANSION
The City Council of Waukee, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the proposed Plans,
Specifications, Form of Contract and Estimate of Costs for the construction of the above
referenced public improvements at 5:30 p.m. on March 21, 2022, at the Council Chamber in City
Hall, 230 West Hickman Road, Waukee, Iowa 50263. At said hearing, any interested person
may appear and file objections thereto or to the cost of the improvements.
This project includes the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of
the WAUKEE PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING 2ND FLOOR EXPANSION, 805 University
Avenue, Waukee, Iowa 50263, generally described as follows:
Build-out of a 3,045 SF open space on the 2nd floor into offices, IT room, work room and an
open office area. New egress stairs from the existing mezzanine into the garage.
Due to public health concerns and guidance, in accordance with Iowa Code Sections 21.4(1)(b)
and 21.8, this meeting of the Waukee City Council will be conducted with two different options
for public participation: 1) Members of the public wishing to attend in person may do so in the
Council Chambers at Waukee City Hall. 2) Members of the public wishing to participate

In-person meetings are subject to change under certain circumstances, including but not limited
