SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The Lift Station No. 2 Rehabilitation project is located on
NW 4th Street north of W Hickman Road. This project includes all labor, materials and equipment
necessary for excavation, backfill and sitework; submersible pumps, piping and valves; concrete
and granular surfacing; reinforced concrete; wood stud building construction; building work
including heating and ventilation, doors, painting, and appurtenances; electrical work including
conduit, cables, power wiring, motor controls and housings, starters, fixtures and controls;
standby power generator; manholes; surface restoration and miscellaneous associated work
including cleanup.
This project is included in the approved FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvements Plan with a total
project budget of $2,065,000.00. This project has a June 30, 2023 complete date.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, PROPOSED FORM OF CONTRACT
AND ESTIMATE OF COST FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE LIFT STATION NO. 2 REHABILITATION FOR
THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA.
The City Council of Waukee, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the proposed Plans,
Specifications, Form of Contract and Estimate of Costs for the construction of the above
referenced public improvements at 5:30 P.M. on April 18, 2022. At said hearing, any interested
person may appear and file objections thereto or to the cost of the improvements. The work to
be done is as follows:
LIFT STATION NO. 2 REHABILITATION
Construct Lift Station No. 2 including all labor, materials and equipment necessary for
excavation, backfill and sitework; submersible pumps, piping and valves; concrete and
granular surfacing; reinforced concrete; wood stud building construction; building work
including heating and ventilation, doors, painting, and appurtenances; electrical work
including conduit, cables, power wiring, motor controls and housings, starters, fixtures
and controls; standby power generator; manholes; surface restoration and
miscellaneous associated work including cleanup.
The Lift Station No. 2 Rehabilitation project is located on N. Fourth Street north of Hickman
Road.
Due to public health concerns and guidance, in accordance with Iowa Code Sections 21.4(1)(b)
and 21.8, this meeting of the Waukee City Council will be conducted with two different options
for public participation: 1) Members of the public wishing to attend in person may do so in the
Council Chambers at Waukee City Hall. 2) Members of the public wishing to participate

In-person meetings are subject to change under certain circumstances, including but not
