SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON:The Little Walnut Creek Trunk Sewer Extension –
Phase 5 project is located along NW 10th Street north of NW Douglas Parkway. This project
includes all labor, materials and equipment necessary for approximately 3,000 linear feet of 8-
inch through 24-inch diameter sanitary sewer in open cut and augured in steel casing, water main
service pipe, manholes, excavation and backfill, surface restoration and miscellaneous associated
work, including cleanup.
This project is included in the approved FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvements Plan with a total
project budget of $1,400,000.00. This project has a November 25, 2022 substantial complete date
and a final completion date of May 31, 2023.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, PROPOSED FORM OF CONTRACT
AND ESTIMATE OF COST FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE LITTLE WALNUT CREEK TRUNK SEWER
EXTENSION – PHASE 5 FOR THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA.
The City Council of Waukee, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the proposed Plans,
Specifications, Form of Contract and Estimate of Costs for the construction of the above
referenced public improvements at 5:30 P.M. on April 18, 2022. At said hearing, any interested
person may appear and file objections thereto or to the cost of the improvements. The work to
be done is as follows:

Construct Little Walnut Creek Trunk Sewer Extension – Phase 5 including all labor, materials
and equipment necessary for approximately 3,000 linear feet of 8-inch through 24-inch

manholes, excavation and backfill, surface restoration and miscellaneous associated work,
including cleanup.
The Little Walnut Creek Trunk Sewer Extension – Phase 5 project is located along NW 10th
Street north of NW Douglas Parkway.
Due to public health concerns and guidance, in accordance with Iowa Code Sections 21.4(1)(b)
and 21.8, this meeting of the Waukee City Council will be conducted with two different options
for public participation: 1) Members of the public wishing to attend in person may do so in the
Council Chambers at Waukee City Hall. 2) Members of the public wishing to participate
