STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Foth Infrastructure & Environment has reviewed the public
improvements for Alice’s Road PCC Pavement Widening, 400-ft North of SE Olson Drive to NE
Horizon Drive and find it in general conformance with the standard specification for the City of
Waukee and Iowa Department of Transportation.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION ACCEPTING ALICE'S ROAD FROM 400' NORTH OF SE
OLSON DR. TO NE HORIZON DR.
WHEREAS, on the 27th day of March, 2018, the Mayor and Clerk of the City of Waukee,
Iowa, entered into a construction contract with Absolute Concrete Construction of Sleter, IA, for
the construction of certain public improvements generally described as Alice's Road from 400'
North of SE Olson Dr. to NE Horizon Dr.; and
WHEREAS, the contractor has fully completed the construction of the public
improvements in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and plans and
specifications, as shown by the certificate of the Engineer filed with the Clerk on April 15, 2022:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WAUKEE, IOWA:
Section 1. That the report of the Engineer be and the same is hereby approved and
adopted, and the public improvements are hereby approved and accepted as having been fully
completed in accordance with the plans, specifications and form of contract and the total final
construction cost thereof is hereby determined to be $8,367,539.57, as shown in the report of the
Engineer.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 18th day of April, 2022.

We hereby certify that we have made an on-site review of the completed construction of the above
reference project as performed by Absolute Concrete Construction, Inc.
As Construction Administrators for the project, it is our opinion that the work is in substantial
accordance with the plans and specification and that the final amount of the contract is Eight Million
Three Hundred Sixty-Seven Thousand Five Hundred Thirty-Nine and 57/100 Dollars
($8,367,539.57).
