Parkview Crossing Drive to SE Glacier Trail Project changing the
contract amount by $00.00.
FORMAT:Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Change Order No. 3 includes additional
compensation for constructing a temporary access for businesses east of Grand Prairie Parkway
from the south but is offset by reduction in pavement removal and temporary pavement
quantities.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: The net result of this
Change Order changes the contract price in the amount of $00.00.
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:

RECOMMENDATION: Approve the change order.

Dear Ms. Kappos:
Attached please find a detailed Change Order for City Council approval on May 16, 2022.
Change Description:
• Item 7.15 Pavement Removal
o Reduction of quantity due to stage 2 access changes. Access to businesses
revised to enter from the south.
• Item 7.16 Temporary Pavement, HMA or PCC, 8 In.
o Reduction of quantity due to stage 2 access changes. Access to businesses
revised to enter from the south.
• Item CO 11.10 Construct Temporary Access
o Additional Compensation for constructing entrance to east side businesses from
the south.
We have reviewed the submitted quotes from Alliance Construction and they appear to be in
order with current industry pricing. If City Staff concurs with this pricing, we recommend the City
of Waukee revise the contract price in the amount of $0.00 to complete the additional work
associated with Change Order #3. If you have any questions, please contact me.

THE CONTRACT IS CHANGED AS FOLLOWS: Revision for access changes during stage 2 portion of contract. There is a credit to bid items equal to the cost to build the access to
