HomeMy WebLinkAbout2022-08-15 I01L_05 Fox Creek Meadows Rezoning_Set PHAGENDA ITEM: CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA CITY COUNCIL MEETING COMMUNICATION MEETING DATE: August 15, 2022 AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a Motion to set a Public Hearing Date of September 19, 2022, as the date of public hearing on an ordinance to amend Chapter 169, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by rezoning certain property from R-3 (Multi-Family Residential District) to R-2 (One and Two-Family Residential District) [Fox Creek Meadows] FORMAT:Motion SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a request for rezoning of approximately 2.39-acres of property from R-3 to R-2. The property is generally located west of NW 10th Street and north of NW Douglas Parkway. The applicant has received the necessary consent of property owners within 250-feet. FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT: STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend approval of the City Council setting the public hearing date for September 19, 2022, to discuss this matter further. Council action to set the public hearing date does not indicate support for the project. Rather, it represents the Council’s willingness to allow the public hearing process to continue. RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
