STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Bolton & Menk has reviewed the Sugar Creek Park Project
and find that the work performed is in substantial accordance with the plans
and specifications, and that the final amount of the Contract is $612,986.25
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 2022-
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE SUGAR CREEK PARK
WHEREAS, on the 20th day of September, 2021, the Mayor and Clerk of the City of
Waukee, Iowa, entered into a construction contract with Concrete Connection, LLC, of Johnston,
IA, for the construction of certain public improvements generally described as the Sugar Creek
Park; and
WHEREAS, the contractor has fully completed the construction of the public
improvements in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and plans and
specifications, as shown by the certificate of the Engineer filed with the Clerk on September 1,
2022:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WAUKEE, STATE OF IOWA:
Section 1.That the report of the Engineer be and the same is hereby approved and adopted,
and the public improvements are hereby approved and accepted as having been fully completed in
accordance with the plans, specifications and form of contract and the total final construction cost
thereof is hereby determined to be $612,986.85, as shown in the report of the Engineer.

RE: Sugar Creek Park Certificate of Completion
Dear Mr. Jermier:
Bolton & Menk herby certifies that we have made an on-site review of construction for the Sugar Creek
Park as performed by Concrete Connections. As Landscape Architect for the project, it is my opinion that
the work performed is in substantial accordance with the plans and specifications and that the final
amount of the contract is six hundred twelve thousand, nine hundred eighty-six dollars and twenty-five
cents [$612,986.25].
