STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Confluence has reviewed the public improvements for the
Kettlestone Greenway Improvements Phase 2 Project and find it in general conformance with the
standard specifications for the City of Waukee.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 2022-
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE KETTLESTONE
GREENWAY IMPROVEMENTS PHASE 2
WHEREAS, on the 8th day of September, 2020, the Mayor and Clerk of the City of
Waukee, Iowa, entered into a construction contract with Caliber Concrete, LLC, of Adair, IA, for
the construction of certain public improvements generally described as the Kettlestone Greenway
Improvements Phase 2; and
WHEREAS, the contractor has fully completed the construction of the public
improvements in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and plans and
specifications, as shown by the certificate of the Engineer filed with the Clerk on September 15,
2022:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WAUKEE, STATE OF IOWA:
Section 1.That the report of the Engineer be and the same is hereby approved and adopted,
and the public improvements are hereby approved and accepted as having been fully completed in
accordance with the plans, specifications and form of contract and the total final construction cost
thereof is hereby determined to be $826,635.41, as shown in the report of the Engineer.

KETTLESTONE GREENWAY IMPROVEMENTS PHASE 2
WAUKEE, IOWA
We hereby certify that we have made an on-site review of the completed construction of the Kettlestone
Greenway Improvements Phase 2 project as performed by Caliber Concrete LLC.
As the landscape architects for the project, it is our opinion the work performed is in substantial
accordance with the plans and specifications, and that the final amount of the Contract is Eight Hundred
Twenty-Six Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-Five and 41/100 Dollars ($826,635.41).
