AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution amending certain addresses for Lot
5 and Lot 6 of Kettlestone Peak within the City of Waukee from 1300 SE
Pleasant View Drive to 1305 SE Pleasant View Drive (Lot 5) and from 1350
SE Pleasant View Drive to 1355 SE Pleasant View Drive (Lot 6)
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: A scrivener’s error has been found for the addresses
assigned to Lots 5 and 6 of Kettlestone Peak. The current addresses cannot be
utilized, as they are not consistent with the numbering on the street side they
are located on. Changing the addresses for Lots 5 and 6 will correct this error.
The lots are currently undeveloped.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: The requested change in address still fits within the confines
of the addressing grid and staff does not have any major concerns with the
proposed change. Upon approval of the City Council, the address change
would be recorded with the County and all records including E911 databases
would be updated with the new addresses.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 2022-
APPROVAL OF AMENDING CERTAIN ADDRESSES FOR LOT 5 AND LOT 6
OF KETTLESTONE PEAK
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee approved the final plat for Kettlestone Peak on April 4,
2022, and recorded said final plat with the Dallas County; AND,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that there was a scriveners error related to Lot 5 and
Lot 6 of Kettlestone Peak; AND,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa in session this 19th day of September 2022, that the local address of 1300 SE
Pleasant View Drive be amended to 1305 SE Pleasant View Drive, and the local address
of 1350 SE Pleasant View Drive be amended to 1355 SE Pleasant View Drive. A copy of
this resolution shall be filed of record with the Recorders Office of Dallas County, Iowa.
