SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON:This project includes all materials, labor and
equipment for the construction of the Kettlestone Area Traffic Signals in the southeast region of
Waukee. The project consists of the construction of traffic signals at the SE Ashworth Rd & SE
Parkview Crossing Dr and Grand Prairie Parkway & SE Tallgrass Lane intersections.
Construction includes necessary communication connections for each intersection.
This project is included in the approved FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvements Plan with a total
project budget of $990,000. All work on the project shall be completed by August 4, 2023.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
KETTLESTONE AREA TRAFFIC SIGNALS
The City Council of Waukee, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the proposed Plans,
Specifications, Form of Contract and Estimate of Costs for the construction of the above
referenced public improvements at 5:30 p.m. on October 3, 2022 at the Council Chamber in City
Hall, 230 West Hickman Road, Waukee, Iowa 50263. At said hearing, any interested person
may appear and file objections thereto or to the cost of the improvements.
This project includes the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of
the KETTLESTONE AREA TRAFFIC SIGNALS in the southeast region of Waukee,
generally described as follows:
Construction of traffic signals at the SE Ashworth Rd & SE Parkview Crossing Dr and
Grand Prairie Pkwy & SE Tallgrass Ln intersections. Construction includes necessary
communication connections for each intersection.
Due to public health concerns and guidance, in accordance with Iowa Code Sections 21.4(1)(b)
and 21.8, this meeting of the Waukee City Council will be conducted with two different options
for public participation: 1) Members of the public wishing to attend in person may do so in the
Council Chambers at Waukee City Hall. 2) Members of the public wishing to participate

In-person meetings are subject to change under certain circumstances, including but not limited
to higher than average participation or changes in health guidelines. If the meeting shall be held
