AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution amending certain address for Lot 1
of Prairie Crossing Plat 10 within the City of Waukee from 505 NE Venture
Drive to 505 E Hickman Road
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: A scrivener’s error has been found for the address assigned
to Lot 1, Prairie Crossing Plat 10. The current address cannot be utilized, as
they are not consistent with the neighboring lots. Changing the address will
correct this error. The lot is currently undeveloped.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: The requested change in address still fits within the confines
of the addressing grid and staff does not have any major concerns with the
proposed change. Upon approval of the City Council, the address change
would be recorded with the County and all records including E911 databases
would be updated with the new addresses.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 2022-
APPROVAL OF AMENDING CERTAIN ADDRESS FOR LOT 1 OF PRAIRIE
CROSSING PLAT 10
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee approved the final plat for Prairie Crossing Plat 10 on
August 15, 2022, and recorded said final plat with the Dallas County; AND,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that there was a scriveners error related to Lot 1 of
Prairie Crossing Plat 10; AND,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa in session this 17th day of October 2022, that the local address of 505 NE Venture
Drive be amended to 505 E Hickman Road. A copy of this resolution shall be filed of
record with the Recorders Office of Dallas County, Iowa.
