STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: USDI has reviewed the public improvements for the 10-inch
Project, Meredith/NW 10th St Distribution Main Project and find it in general conformance with the
standard specifications for the City of Waukee.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 2022-
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE 10-INCH PROJECT
MEREDITH/NW 10TH ST. - 2021
WHEREAS, on the 7th day of September, 2021, the Mayor and Clerk of the City of
Waukee, Iowa, entered into a construction contract with Meade, Inc., of Willowbrook, IL, for the
construction of certain public improvements generally described as the 10-inch Project
Meredith/NW 10th St. - 2021; and
WHEREAS, the contractor has fully completed the construction of the public
improvements in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and plans and
specifications, as shown by the certificate of the Engineer filed with the Clerk on November 4,
2022:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WAUKEE, STATE OF IOWA:
Section 1.That the report of the Engineer be and the same is hereby approved and adopted,
and the public improvements are hereby approved and accepted as having been fully completed in
accordance with the plans, specifications and form of contract and the total final construction cost
thereof is hereby determined to be $1,058,062.90, as shown in the report of the Engineer.

WAUKEE, IOWA
We hereby certify that we have made an on-site review of the completed construction of the 10-Inch
Gas Distribution Main, Meredith/NW 10th Street project as performed by Meade, Inc.
As Engineers for the project, it is our opinion the work performed is in substantial accordance with the
plans and specification, and that the final amount of the Contract is One Million fifty eight thousand
sixty two dollars and ninety cents ($1,058,062.90)
