FORMAT:Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: As of July 1, 2012, HF2460, an act relating to Iowa’s
Urban Renewal law, Iowa Code Section 331.403(3) and 384.22(2), went
into effect. The creation of an annual Urban Renewal Report was one of
the significant changes. Attached is the FY2022 report, which includes
additional reporting requirements for all TIF expenditures. This report
requires majority approval from the City Council, prior to submittal to
the Department of Management, with a due date of December 1st each
year.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT:
The attached report requires the City to report on a cash basis, rather than
our standard accrual method. The revenue and expenditure numbers will
not match our annual audit report, or our State Annual Financial Report.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the State of Iowa 2022 Annual Urban Renewal Report as
presented.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE’S STATE OF IOWA FY2022 ANNUAL
URBAN RENEWAL REPORT, AND DIRECTING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR FOR
THE CITY OF WAUKEE TO FILE THE REPORT WITH
THE DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, The Waukee Finance Director has submitted to the City Council of the City of
Waukee, the State of Iowa FY2022 Annual Urban Renewal Report for the City of Waukee,
Iowa; AND
WHEREAS, the report shows total TIF Revenues in the amount of $8,848,537 and total
Expenditures of $11,617,902 with an Ending Cash Balance of $1,786,650; AND
WHEREAS, according to Iowa Code sections 331.403(3) and 384.22(2) the report is required
to be submitted to the Department of Management by December 1st of each year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Waukee hereby approves the
State of Iowa 2022 Annual Urban Renewal Report and directs the Finance Director to submit
it to the Department of Management, this 21st day of November, 2022.
