Culvert Repairs Project]

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The City received quotes on Tuesday, November 15,
2022. One quote was received by On Track Construction, LLC.
Based on review of the quote received, Veenstra & Kimm, Inc. recommends award of the
quotation for the Southfork Drive Culvert Repairs project in the amount of $104,558.00 to On
Track Construction, LLC of Nevada, Iowa.
This is the second attempt to request quotes for this project. The first attempt also resulted in
only one quote being received for $163,316.00 in March 2022. Staff think delaying this project
will not produce more favorable results and also feel this project cannot be delayed any longer.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: $104,558.00
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff recommend approval of the resolution awarding
the quote to On Track Construction, LLC of Nevada, Iowa [Southfork Drive Culvert Repairs
Project]
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

AWARDING QUOTE FOR SOUTHFORK DRIVE CULVERT REPAIRS PROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF WAUKEE, IOWA:
That the following quote for certain public improvements described in general as the
Southfork Drive Culvert Repairs project and described in the Request for Quotes that was
provided to contractors be and is hereby accepted, the same being the lowest responsible quote
received for such work, as follows:
Contractor: Jon Track Construction, LLC of Nevada, IA
Amount of quote: $104,558.00
PASSED AND APPROVED this 21st day of November, 2022.
