SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Change Order No. 3 is for the addition dredging of
the pond to maximize depth and reduce the likelihood of future dredging.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: The net result of this
Change Order increases the contract price in the amount of $144,850.00.

NW DOUGLAS PARKWAY CULVERT AND POND IMPROVEMENTS
CHANGE ORDER NO. 3 AND PARTIAL PAYMENT ESTIMATE NO. 7
Enclosed are three copies of Change Order No. 3 for the above-mentioned project under the
contract between the City of Waukee and Elder Corporation. Change Order No. 3 is for
additional dredging of the pond to maximize depth and reduce the likelihood of future
dredging. Change Order No. 3 increases the contract price by a total of $144,850.00. Veenstra
& Kimm, Inc. recommends approval of Change Order No. 3.
Also enclosed are three copies of Partial Payment Estimate No. 7 for the period between
October 1, 2022 and October 31, 2022. Partial Payment Estimate No. 7 is for grading and pond
dredging. We have checked the estimate and recommend payment to Elder Corporation in the
amount of $209,828.16
Please sign all three copies of Change Order No. 3 and Partial Payment Estimate No. 7 in the
spaces provided. Return one signed copy of each to our office and one signed copy of each
with payment to Elder Corporation. The remaining copy of each should be kept for your files.
