STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Foth Infrastructure and Environment, LLC has reviewed the
public improvements for NW Douglas Parkway Project, NW 10th Street to NW 2nd Street and find it in
general conformance with the standard specification for the City of Waukee.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 2022-
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE NW DOUGLAS PARKWAY
CONSTRUCTION NW 10TH STREET TO NW 2ND STREET
WHEREAS, on the 7th day of December, 2020, the Mayor and Clerk of the City of Waukee,
Iowa, entered into a construction contract with Elder Corporation of Des Moines, IA, for the
construction of certain public improvements generally described as the NW Douglas Parkway
Construction NW 10th Street to NW 2nd Street; and
WHEREAS, the contractor has fully completed the construction of the public
improvements in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and plans and
specifications, as shown by the certificate of the Engineer filed with the Clerk on November 22,
2022:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WAUKEE, STATE OF IOWA:
Section 1.That the report of the Engineer be and the same is hereby approved and adopted,
and the public improvements are hereby approved and accepted as having been fully completed in
accordance with the plans, specifications and form of contract and the total final construction cost
thereof is hereby determined to be $1,904,006.51, as shown in the report of the Engineer.

We hereby certify that we have made an on-site review of the completed construction of the above
reference project as performed by Elder Corporation.
As Construction Administrators for the project, it is our opinion that the work is in substantial
accordance with the plans and specification and that the final amount of the contract is One Million
Nine Hundred Four Thousand Six and 51/100 Dollars ($1,904,006.51).
