AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of Early Partial Release of Retainage to C.L. Carroll
Co., Inc. for the 2021 Well Rehabilitation Project – Phase 2 in the amount of
$60,000.00.
FORMAT:Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: C.L. Carroll Co., Inc. has completed the project and is
requesting partial early release of retainage per Iowa Code Section 573.28. Veenstra & Kimm recommends
release of the retainage. Lien waivers have been received. An additional $21,654.38 in retainage is being
held pending final startup of chemical feed equipment once cycle testing of the well is complete.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:$60,000.00

RECOMMENDATION: Approve the partial early release of retainage to C.L. Carroll Co., Inc. for the

EARLY RELEASE OF RETAINAGE
C. L. Carroll Co., Inc. is requesting early partial release of the retainage on the 2021 Well
Rehabilitation Project – Phase 2. Enclosed is a sworn statement notice from C. L. Carroll Co., Inc.
as required by Iowa Code Section 26.13.
We recommend partial release of the retainage in the amount of $60,000.00 for the 2021 Well
Rehabilitation Project – Phase 2 by the City Council of the City of Waukee to C. L. Carroll Co., Inc.
