STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Veenstra & Kimm has reviewed the public improvements for
the 2021/2022 ADA Sidewalk Improvements and find it in general conformance with the standard
specifications for the City of Waukee.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 2023-
ACCEPTING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
[2021/2022 SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County; AND,
WHEREAS, MNM Concrete Specialists of Des Moines, IA, has completed the public
improvements associated with the 2021/2022 Sidewalk Improvements Project; AND,
WHEREAS, Veenstra & Kimm, Inc., has reviewed the improvements constructed as part
of the 2021/2022 Sidewalk Improvements Project and confirm that said improvements
constructed as a part of this project are in general conformance with the Standard
Specifications of the City of Waukee.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 6th day of February, 2023, that it hereby accepts the public improvements
associated with the 2021/2022 Sidewalk Improvements Project.

We hereby certify that we have made a review of the
construction of the 2021/2022 ADA Sidewalk Improvements
as performed by MNM Concrete Specialists.
As Engineers for the project, it is our opinion that the work
performed is in substantial accordance with the plans and
specifications, and that the final amount of the Contract is
Ninety-One Thousand Fourteen and 70/100 Dollars
($91,014.70).
