The proposed FY24 budget presented to the City Council on Jan 30th recommends MAINTAINING the current levy of $9.78 plus $3.32 Debt Service for a total levy of $13.10 per $1,000. Increased revenues are necessary to cover annual wage & benefit rollups, staff additions, capital equipment and facility maintenance & repairs. Potential loss of revenue due to the State miscalculation of residential rollback prevents a tax reduction for FY24.
