THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
RESOLUTION 2023-
APPROVAL OF FY2023 MAXIMUM PROPERTY TAX DOLLARS
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waukee have considered the proposed FY2024 City
maximum property tax dollars for the affected levy total; AND,
WHEREAS, a notice concerning the proposed City maximum property tax dollars was
published as required and posted on the City’s website and social media account as applicable;
AND,
WHEREAS, a public hearing concerning the proposed City maximum property tax dollars was
held on Tuesday, February 21st, 2023.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
21st day of February, 2023, that the maximum property tax dollars for the affected tax levies for
FY2024 shall not exceed the following total:
Total maximum for affected property tax revenues $17,871,939.
The maximum property tax dollars requested, in the total maximum levy, for affected
property tax levies for FY2024 represents an increase of greater than 102% from the
maximum property tax dollars requested for current FY2023.
