AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of Partial Release of Retainage to J&K Contracting,
LLC for the Little Walnut Creek Trunk Sewer Extension – Phase 5 Project in the
amount of $36,658.40.
FORMAT:Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: J&K Contracting has completed the project and is requesting
partial release of retainage. Veenstra & Kimm, Inc. recommends partial release of the retainage in the
amount of $36,658.40. Lien waivers have been received. The project will be accepted and the remaining
retainage released when the punch list is completed later this spring.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: $36,658.40

EARLY RELEASE OF RETAINAGE
J & K Contracting, LLC is requesting early partial release of the retainage on the Little Walnut
Creek Trunk Sewer Extension – Phase 5 project. Enclosed is the sworn statement notice from J &
K Contracting, LLC as required by Iowa Code Section 573.28.
We recommend partial release of the retainage in the amount of $36,658.40 for the Little
Walnut Creek Trunk Sewer Extension – Phase 5 by the City Council of the City of Waukee to J & K
Contracting, LLC
