AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of Change Order No. 3 to Absolute Concrete
Construction, Inc. for the Warrior Lane Improvements – Phase 2 project
decreasing the contract amount by $9,026.60.
FORMAT:Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Change Order No. 3 is for reduction in chain link
fencing length and change in height.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: The net result of this
Change Order decreases the contract price in the amount of $9,026.60.

Warrior Lane Improvements - Phase 2
Dear Mr. Koester:
Please find attached Change Order #3 for the Warrior Lane Improvements - Phase 2 project. The
change order includes the following items:
• Reduction in chain link fencing length and change in height
The chain link fencing planned for installation near the Waukee Community School District baseball field
is being reduced in length and changed to 8-foot height to coordinate with an adjacent school district
fence replacement project planned for later this year.
We have reviewed the change order items and unit prices, and both are in line with anticipated
amounts. If City staff concurs with this change, we recommend the City of Waukee approve this change
order deduct in the amount of $9,026.60 to the construction contract for the Warrior Lane
Improvements – Phase 2 with Absolute Concrete Construction, Inc. of Slater, IA.
