Proclamation PREPARED BY:Becky Schuett REVIEWED BY: J1C1 THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA PROCLAMATION HONORING TODD MCDONALD AS THE 2022 WAUKEE CITIZEN OF THE YEAR IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA WHEREAS, Todd McDonald consistently makes a positive difference in the Waukee community through his outstanding service; AND, WHEREAS, he has gone above and beyond as a volunteer in our community; AND, WHEREAS, Todd is a humble community servant, tirelessly volunteering his time on the board of the Waukee Family YMCA, coaching youth sports, and serving in leadership of the Waukee Betterment Foundation Board; AND, WHEREAS, he continues to play a critical role in providing a positive impact within the City of Waukee, including his work for the Waukee Betterment Foundation, fundraising over $3 million for Triumph Park’s all-inclusive epic playground, accessible fishing pier, and Miracle League field; AND, WHEREAS, Todd was recognized as the Waukee Citizen of the Year at the 2023 Waukee Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet for demonstrating exemplary character, commitment and leadership. NOW THEREFORE, I, Courtney Clarke, Mayor of the City of Waukee, do hereby proclaim April 3, 2023, as “Todd McDonald Day” in the City of Waukee in recognition of his award as Waukee’s 2022 Citizen of the Year. IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto subscribed my name and caused the Great Seal of the City of Waukee to be affixed this April 3, 2023. ________________________________ Courtney Clarke, Mayor
