RESOLUTION 2023-147
APPROVING MAYOR'S APPOINTMENT OF A CITIZEN MEMBER TO THE BOARD
OF ADJUSTMENT FOR AN UNEXPIRED TERM ENDING JANUARY 31, 2024
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS, Board of Adjustment Member Cynthia Swoyer is unable to fulfill the remainder of
her term, scheduled to expire January 31, 2024; AND,
WHEREAS, Mayor Courtney Clarke appoints Emily Schultz to fill the unexpired Board of
Adjustment term of Cynthia Swoyer.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
10t' day of April, 2023, that the mayor's appointment of Emily Schultz to the Board of
Adjustment for an unexpired term ending January 31, 2024, is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Mayor Clarke and the City of Waukee City Council
express their sincere appreciation and thanks to Cynthia Swoyer for her dedication to the
community while serving on the Board of Adjustment.
