FORMAT:Motion SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: At the time of the original DOT letting date, the GridSmart stopline detection was designed per recommendations from the supplier/vendor. After installation, it was determined that additional cameras were necessary at 3 intersections to minimize impacts to detection operation due to sun glare. Change Order No. 1 is for installation of additional stopline video detection at three intersections. FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: The net result of this Change Order increases the contract price in the amount of $9,938.01. Contractor 3711 SE Capitol Cir Grimes, IA 50111 Address Detection was experiencing issues with glare at certain times of day, mainly shortly after sunrise and before sunset. The additional cameras provided redundancy to detect traffic in protected only left turn lanes when a different camera could not because of glare.
