AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a motion setting September 5, 2023, as the date
of public hearing on an Ordinance to amend Chapter 169, Zoning Regulations,
District Regulations, by amending Section 169.07, R-1 Single Family
Residential District
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The proposed amendment would correct an inconsistency
between the Zoning Ordinance and the International Property Maintenance
Code. Chapter 169 considers a pool as being able to hold 18-inches depth of
water. The International Property Maintenance Code defines a pool as being
able to hold 24-inches depth of water. Staff preference is to make the Zoning
Ordnance consistent with the International Property Maintenance Code.

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend approval of the motion to set the
public hearing for September 5, 2023 to further discuss the proposed
ordinance.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
