AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a resolution approving Purchase Order
Amendment with ABCreative [Stratford Crossing Park]

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The playground equipment and shelter structures are
owner supplied items within the Stratford Crossing Park project. After
the subdrain was installed by General Contractor per plan it was
determined that there were some conflicts with the location of some of
the subdrainage and the footings for the playground equipment.
ABCreative has agreed to make the adjustments as part of their install of
the playground equipment and footings. This work will increase the
playground price by $7,475.00. The playground installers have started
their work and plan to be completed around October 15th.

RESOLUTION 2023-
APPROVING PURCHASE ORDER AMENDMENT WITH ABCREATIVE
[STRATFORD CROSSING PARK]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County; AND,
WHEREAS, on December 12, 2022, the Waukee City Council approved a quote through the Equalis
Group Purchasing Program for Stratford Crossing Park playground equipment, surfacing, restroom
facilities, shelter and installation (Resolution #2022-533); AND,
WHEREAS, ABCreative, which was contracted for the installation of the playground and footings,
has submitted a Purchase Order Amendment in order to address conflicts with the location of some
subdrainage and the footings for the playground equipment; AND,
WHEREAS, the Amendment shall increase the playground price by $7,475.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 5th day
of September, 2023, that it hereby approves the Purchase Order Amendment with ABCreative
[Stratford Crossing Park].

6 Drain Caps, 10' x 24" and 20' x 12" PVC Sonotube. 40 1F #4 Rebar, 2 cu yards concrete.
Cut out concrete slab above "caved-in" areas.

Remove Concrete slab above areas that have "caved-in".
Cap exposed drains at both ends, dispose mid-sections.
Replace with compacted dirt and and 4" rock on top.
Notes:
No Sprinkler Repair
Bid good for 90 days
Dirt and Rock supplied on site, concrete disposed on site.

Deposits: Manufactures that require a Material Deposit must be paid at the time of order or Executed Contract. Deposits are NOT subject to
retainage. Non-payment of Deposit Invoices will not result in penalty to ABcreative.
