Required, City of Waukee, Iowa, by amending Section 65.01, Through
Streets; Stop Intersections [introduction; first reading]

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The City received a request to review uncontrolled
intersections on NE Archer Avenue and NE Badger Lane. The review resulted in a recommendation to
add stop control to NE Archer Avenue from the north line of NE Horizon Drive to NE Boston
Parkway as well as NE Badger Lane from the north line of NE Douglas Parkway to its terminus.

ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 65, STOP OR YIELD REQUIRED, CITY OF
WAUKEE, IOWA, BY AMENDING SECTION 65.01 THROUGH STREETS; STOP
INTERSECTIONS AS SPECIFIED BELOW
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee has determined that amendments to certain through streets
and stop intersections should be made to the existing list of through streets in the ordinance.
BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1. Chapter 65, Waukee Municipal Code, Section 65.01, Through Streets; Stop
Intersections, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraphs to Section 65.01,
Through streets; stop Intersections as follows:
§65.01 Through Streets; Stop Intersections:
104. NE Archer Avenue from the north line of NE Horizon Drive to NE Boston
Parkway
105. NE Badger Lane from the north line of NE Douglas Parkway to its terminus
Section 2. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of
this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. Severability Clause. If any section, provision or part of this ordinance shall be
adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance
as a whole or any section, provision, or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in effect upon its final passage, approval
and publication as provided by law.
