Bids were received on September 12, 2023, with five general contractors submitting bids. The engineer’s estimate for the project was $187,443.00. The apparent low bid was submitted by Alliance Construction Group, LLC of Urbandale, IA for $195,318.75. This bid is approximately 4.2% above the engineer’s estimate. This project is included in the approved FY 2024-2028 CIP with a total project budget of approximately $1,000,000. This project has a completion date of September 30, 2024. FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT: STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff recommends approval of the resolution awarding contract to Alliance Construction Group, LLC of Urbandale, IA for $195,318.75.
