SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The proposed sale of a parcel owned by the City of
Waukee to the City of Urbandale is being undertaken pursuant to a 28E Agreement entered into between
the cities and approved by the City of Waukee on January 16, 2023 by resolution.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: The City of Urbandale will
be paying the City of Waukee $60,000 for this property.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING THE SALE OF PROPERTY TO THE CITY
OF URBANDALE, IOWA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a public hearing on the sale of property to the City of
Urbandale by the City of Waukee. The public hearing has been set for 5:30 p.m. on November
20, 2023, and shall be held at the City of Waukee Council Chambers located at Waukee City
Hall, 230 W. Hickman Road, Waukee, Iowa. After the public hearing the Waukee City Council
will take action concerning the transfer.
The proposed sale to the City of Urbandale is being undertaken pursuant to a 28E agreement
entered into between the cities and approved by the City of Waukee on January 16, 2023, by
resolution. The Agreement and resolution sets forth the proposal concerning the sale and is
available for viewing at the Clerk’s Office at the Waukee City Hall located at 230 W. Hickman
Road in the City of Waukee, Iowa. Published with this Notice is the legal description of the
property which the Waukee City Council will consider transferring at the public hearing
referenced above.
Legal Description:
Parcel 22-7 of Plat of Survey recorded in Book 2022 Page 24174, being a part of
Lot 2 in KAAS SUBDIVISION, an Official Plat, now included in and forming a
part of the City of Urbandale, Dallas County, Iowa.
In accordance with Iowa Code Sections 21.4(1)(b) and 21.8, this meeting of the Waukee
City Council will be conducted with two different options for public participation: 1)

Waukee City Hall. 2) Members of the public wishing to participate electronically may do

In-person meetings are subject to change under certain circumstances, including but not
