AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving Warranty Deed for SE
Westown Parkway Right-of-Way [Caliber Land Company, LLC]
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: In 2022, the City Council approved construction plans for
an extension of SE Westown Parkway that is associated with the Kettlestone
Central Development. The developers partnering on the Kettlestone Central
project have completed the extension of SE Westown Parkway between Grand
Prairie Parkway and SE Waco Place. In order for the City to take over
ownership of the right-of-way, the property needs to be deeded to the City.

THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
RESOLUTION 2023-
APPROVING WARRANTY DEED WITH CALIBER LAND COMPANY, LLC [SE
WESTOWN PARKWAY]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City approved construction plans for SE Westown Parkway which included the
extension of SE Westown Parkway; AND,
WHEREAS, as a part of the improvements, a portion of SE Westown Parkway was required to be
extended over property owned by Caliber Land Company, LLC.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, that
the warranty deed for the extension of SE Westown Parkway over and across property owned by
Caliber Land Company, LLC be approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved this the 18th day of
December, 2023.
