AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of Change Order No. 2 to Elder Corporation for the
Heart of the Warrior Trailside Improvements Project, decreasing the contract
in the amount of $861.25.
FORMAT:Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Change Order No. 2 to Elder Corporation is a decrease in
the contract amount of $861.25. The change order includes adjustments to
final contract quantities to reflect actual item quantities used during
construction. The quantities completed to date have been reviewed and
agreed upon by the contractor, City of Waukee Staff, and Shive-Hattery.

Dear Mr. Jermier:
Please find attached Change Order #2 for the Heart of the Warrior Trail - Trailside Improvements
project. The change order includes adjustments to final contract quantities to reflect actual item
quantities used during construction.
We have reviewed the change order items and unit prices, and both are in line with anticipated
amounts. If City staff concurs with this change, we recommend the City of Waukee approve this change
order deduct in the amount of ($861.25) to the construction contract for the Heart of the Warrior Trail -
Trailside Improvements with Elder Corporation of Pleasant Hill, IA.
