SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: According to the provisions of an existing 28E
agreement, the City may appoint a representative and two (2) alternates
to the Walnut Creek Watershed Management Authority Board of
Directors.

THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
RESOLUTION 2024-
APPROVING THE MAYOR’S APPOINTMENT OF A REPRESENTATIVE AND
ALTERNATE TO THE WALNUT CREEK WATERSHED MANAGEMENT
AUTHORITY BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR 2024
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County; AND,
WHEREAS, on February 18, 2014, the Waukee City Council entered into a 28E
agreement related to the Walnut Creek Watershed Management Authority (Resolution
#14-049); AND,
WHEREAS, according to the provisions of the 28E agreement, the City may appoint a
representative and two (2) alternates to the Walnut Creek Watershed Management
Authority Board of Directors;
WHEREAS, Mayor Courtney Clarke appoints Public Works Director/City Engineer
Rudy Koester as the representative, Assistant Public Works Director of Operations Tim
Royer as alternate and Assistant Public Works Director of Engineering Sara Kappos as
alternate to the Walnut Creek Watershed Management Authority Board of Directors.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 2nd day of January, 2024, that it hereby approves the Mayor’s appointments
to the Walnut Creek Watershed Management Authority Board of Directors.
