RESOLUTION 2024-017
APPROVING THE, MAYOR'S APPOINTMENT OF CITY ATTORNEY
FOR 2024
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa, is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County; AND,
WHEREAS, the Waukee City Council must appoint the position of City Attorney
annually; AND,
WHEREAS, the law firm of Brick, Gentry, Bowers, Swartz & Levis, P.C., hereinafter
known as Brick Gentry Law Firm, was first appointed as City Attorney by the City
Council on June 6, 2005 (Resolution #05-90); AND,
WHEREAS, the Brick Gentry Law Firm has proven to be an excellent partner with and
resource for the City of Waukee in all necessary aspects of the legal system;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Waukee, Iowa on
this 2°d day of January, 2024, does hereby approve the appointment of Brick Gentry Law
Firm as City Attorney for 2024.
